About Us
Professional, Dependable Auto Repair at Honest Rates
Bell Auto Service has been a family-owned, family-operated business since Carol Bell first opened the doors and bays at Shell Service Station 35 years ago. While many small auto repair businesses have faded with the sun, we have maintained a steady stream of business by serving the needs of established and new customers alike.
We attribute our success to many factors, including retaining the best skilled people who are committed to producing outstanding results for our customers. All of our service technicians and automotive technicians are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). ASE certification is nationally recognized for high standards in the automotive repair industry.
Bell Auto Service is a proud member of the NAPA AutoCare Program. This means all parts and labor costs are warrantied through NAPA in the event of failure. Our shop has also been recognized by Mark Salem as one of the "Best Car Repair Shops in Arizona" since 1998. This recognition is only given to our state's most outstanding auto repair shops.
If you need a tune-up or major repairs, give us a call or stop by to see why we've been Scottsdale's top choice for over three decades.
Our Family:
Craig Bell
Craig began his automotive repair career in 1975 working along side his dad at the Shell gas station formerly located on the S.E. corner of Granite Reef and McDowell roads.
Following graduation from Coronado High School in 1979 he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he studied at the Dunwoody College of Technology for three years. Upon graduation from the program he returned to south Scottsdale, got married, started his family then bought the business from his dad.
Carol and Elaine Bell
Following many successful ventures Carol and Elaine established Granite Reef Shell in 1975. The business soon expanded from a full-service, two-bay gas station to a six-bay complete automotive repair facility. Bell Auto Service was established.
Carol recently retired from the business after 30 years but can be found at the shop offering customers a complimentary ride to and from work or home. In addition he'll pick up parts from throughout the Valley or enjoy a challenging game of cards on the computer. Elaine continues to work with Craig offering day-to-day management.
